1954 Lancia Aurelia B12

The Lancia, resident of the Oily Rag collection since 2008, was originally the property of Bảo Đại, the last emperor of Vietnam, who used the car during his exile in France.

The car is unique among Aurelias, having a sumptuous bespoke leather interior in place of the usual cloth, and an unusual aftermarket rear lamp arrangement. A desirable Nardi floor-change is fitted and greatly enhances the driving experience. The Editor has been using the Aurelia on a regular basis recently and reports on the exemplary roadholding, performance and comfort.

Read the story of our Publisher’s adventure to collect the car in the April, 2008 issue of The Automobile.
